May 28th, 2024The boys are are through to the semi final! Many thanks to Múinteoir Mary and Ollie for their expert coaching! A great display of teamwork and sportsmanship among the Fanore-New Quay – Carron – Ballyvaughan boys today and excellent leadership by our captain, Tadhg.
Seashore Safari
May 26th, 2024A beautiful day for the children to explore their local seashore as part of the Explorers Education Programme.
Gymnastics

Bike Workshop
May 17th, 2024Many thanks to Pat Sexton and Clare Sports Partnership for a great bike workshop today where the children learned about cycle safety and developed their cycling skills.
Hurling Blitz
May 15th, 2024Well done to the boys who participated in a great hurling blitz today with Boston/Tubber/Ballyvaughan. They were great ambassadors for our school!
Mosaic Mural
May 10th, 2024The school was fortunate to be chosen as part of the BLAST Arts in Education programme this year. The children have been working with artist Nathalie to create a beautiful mosaic mural. This is also the school’s Heritage Keeper’s project to enhance and celebrate our local heritage.

Procedural Language Fun
May 9th, 2024The children have been enjoying games and activities while exploring procedural language such as barrier drawings and reverse charades in drama!
Calf and Cuckoo Workshop
May 2nd, 2024The senior room enjoyed their second workshop with Karen as part of the Calf and Cuckoo programme.
6th Class Teachers
May 2nd, 20246th class had a busy day today teaching the rest of the school about the Celts. Each 6th class student taught a junior room and senior room group about the topic using their sketch notes as well as a range of images they had chosen online to engage their pupils. It was great to see how they adapted their lessons and delivery of information to suit their younger and older groups. Fantastic role models for the younger children!
