Football Blitz
October 26th, 2023Children from 3rd-6th enjoyed their fun blitz in Kilfenora!
SEAI Workshop
October 23rd, 2023Today we were fortunate to have a webinar with Lukasz from SEAI.
Lukasz spoke to the children about saving energy and introduced the children to Guzzler!
We also carried out an experiment with Lukasz, we made A Balloon Rocket!
Girls Football
October 23rd, 2023Well done to the girls football team (paired with New Quay and Ballyvaughan schools) at their recent blitz in Lisdoonvarna. They narrowly missed out in a place in the semi-final and we are very proud of them.
Boys Football
October 21st, 2023Well done to the boys football team (paired with New Quay and Carron schools) who are off to the semi-finals after a great display of teamwork at their recent blitz in Doonbeg! A special mention to Tadhg who was an excellent captain for the blitz and great ambassador for our school.
Planting Time!!
October 20th, 2023The children in the junior room planted Daffodils, Snowdrops and Crocuses.
We also planted some conkers!
We will watch and wait!

Positive Maths
October 20th, 2023Children in the senior room have been exploring the power of positive messages and being kind to yourself in your thoughts and words. They brainstormed kind words to describe themselves and decorated them during a maths lesson on Lines and Angles. Can you see a pattern on the colours for the different lines and angles? They also explored and discussed famous quotes about never giving up and trying your best. Children then created their own positive posters to display in the classroom.
Garda John Costello
October 18th, 2023We were delighted to welcome Garda John Costello into the school today. He spoke to the children about personal safety, road safety and Halloween.

October 17th, 2023Ghlac rang 3-6 páirt i dTráth na gCeist ar líne a chraoladh beo don seomra ranga. Ag an gcéim seo den tionscadal, ní dhírítear ar na scóir ná ar scoileanna a leanúint tríd an Ionad Tacaíochta Oideachais, ach ar fhorbairt na Gaeilge mar theanga bheo bhríomhar.
Space Week
October 16th, 2023As part of Space Week the children examined the size of planets using fruit. They also investigated the size of the planets relative to Earth. Lots of predicting, discussing and active learning. Jupiter was very tasty after all their hard work!
