Planting Seeds

Today the children planted a range of seeds for our school garden – we can’t wait to watch all our fruit and vegetables grow!


World Book Day 2025

We celebrated World Book Day in style this year with a literary assembly, a group story writing competition and a fairytale quiz


Dance Webinar

March 7th, 2025

Children in the Junior Room participated in an Olympians Live webinar with Olympic gold medalist Rhys McClenaghan. They first heard Rhys speaking about his Olympic journey and then enjoyed a dance along with him and his Dancing with the Stars partner.


Student Teacher

March 7th, 2025

We have been so lucky to have Noelle in on Work Experience this week at school. She had helped out in the classroom and has used her musical expertise to help with our school music program. Today she treated the children to some classical music on the piano. Children in the junior room discussed the pieces and drew pictures of what the music reminded them of.


Maths

March 6th, 2025

The senior room have been learning about length and perimeter and took the opportunity of a sunny morning to carry out some investigations around the school grounds, estimating and measuring using a variety of tools.


Genius Hour Smoothies

For Genius Hour today the infant group and cooking group came together to make two different types of healthy smoothies!


Pancake Tuesday

The pancake fairies were busy this morning, serving up treats for the boys and girls…yum yum


Mount St. Joseph Abbey

March 3rd, 2025

What a wonderful day 2nd-6th class had at Mount St. Joseph Abbey in Roscrea. Children received a private tour of the orchard, farm, church, lib and observed the monks at prayer. Many thanks to Anu and Fr. Malachy for facilitating this special trip.

The senior room have finished a block of study on Ireland during the Penal Times. As part of their learning, they completed and presented projects on the laws themselves. They also presented creative responses to what they had found through their study and research. A sample of these are below
