Today our local guards came in to speak with the children in the senior room about Cyber Safety.
Today all children made a cross from rushes. We tried a new design this year!

Today we were fortunate to have Melanie Lorien come to our school.
Melanie is a craft-maker who works with straw, she is particularly interested in the traditions and folklore associated with the harvest. She also focuses upon St Brigids Day, Straw Boys, Wren Boys and Mummers.
On the school visit, Melanie brought these customs and traditions to life for the children. They learnt how to make straw angels and got the opportunity to wear Straw Boy costumes.
Today we travelled to Limerick to see Snow White.
